Data Driven Decisions for Academic Achievement (D3A2)

Introduction

The Data Driven Decisions for Academic Achievement (D3A2) project is a long-term initiative focused on developing the capacity of educators while improving instruction and student achievement. D3A2 provides systemic access to timely data and educational resources aligned to Ohio's Academic Content Standards. More information about the project may be found by opening the "Project Overview" page.

Data Tool

Access the D3A2 Data Tool Application external link and Resource Exchange external link directly.

The Data Tool Application was updated on August 22, 2008 to Release 2.0.  The new release provides the same in-depth analysis of Ohio Achievement and Graduation Test results and teacher-friendly views that were employed by the previous version but it also offers significant enhancements in the areas of performance and navigation.

Login accounts are required to access the Data Tools.  If accounts have already been established for the teachers in your district then they may begin using the new version immediately.  If your district has not been implemented on D3A2 yet and would like to be, the steps and requirements for participation may be found on the D3A2 website (http://www.d3a2.org/implementation).

Upload services for 2008 student scores and item analysis data will be installed in the data warehouse soon.

Training Opportunities

D3A2 Facilitator Academies: Facilitator Academies for the D3A2 Professional Development Toolkit have been scheduled for the months of September and October.  Those interested in providing D3A2 professional development to their districts and schools are invited to register by logging into their Ohio Department of Education SAFE accounts.  Preference will be given to ESC, ITC, and district-level data team members.  More information about the PD Toolkits is available on the Professional Development page or view the D3A2 Regional Rollout Flyer.

D3A2 Data Tools Release 2.0: Training opportunities for the newly release D3A2 Data Tools Application 2.0 will be offered soon.
