Preparing to Use the CAM
The following activities must be completed before the district can successfully begin using the CAM. Most are completed with the help of Ohio's Information Technology Centers and may be completed after a school district begins field testing.
District Authorization
The district superintendent must sign and submit two copies of the D3A2 Data Release Agreement to the D3A2 team.
FY10 Demographics Data
The pilot district must have a recent - and relatively “squeaky clean” - demographics file loaded into D3A2 for the current school year.
- The district's ITC must extract current term demographics data from either eSIS or DASL.
- The ITC must submit the demographics data to the D3A2 team via CA-Unicenter and request that the extract files be loaded into the warehouse.
- The D3A2 team must load the demographics and verify the success of the data load.
District Administrator Accounts
The district's ITC or the D3A2 team must provision the district lead and their representatives with the CAM Administrator resource in IDM.
Teacher and Student Accounts
Accounts must be created in the Ohio K-12 Network Identity Management Single-Sign On System (IDM) to permit teachers and students from the district to log into the system.
- The district must work with representatives from their ITC to accurately complete an IDM Bulk Upload File for Educator Accounts to create log in accounts for any teachers that will be using the system.
- The district must work with representatives from their ITC to accurately complete an IDM Bulk Upload File for Student Accounts to create log in accounts for any students that will be using the system.
- CAM-Specific Guidelines are provided to assist with creating IDM Bulkload templates for Educators and Students
District Question Bank
The district's administrators should begin entering items to be used for benchmark assessments into its district question bank.
