Data Scrubber
The Data Scrubber is a web-based application designed to prepare student score and item analysis data obtained from the Ohio Achievement and Graduation Tests for upload to the D3A2 Data Warehouse. The Scrubber performs four functions:
- Align data fields from various test administrations in a common format.
- Create district-ID to state-ID crosswalks to ensure immutability and uniqueness for student and teacher IDs.
- Identify incorrect student and teacher IDs so that can be easily corrected.
- Generate output suitable for upload to the Data Warehouse.

Support Materials
User Guides, PowerPoints, and handouts for the Scrubber may be found by opening the Support Materials page.Test Vendor Files
The D3A2 Data Scrubber is capable of processing Students Results and Item Analysis files for all OAT and OGT assessments administered during the 04-05, 05-06, 06-07, and 07-08 school years. The Data Scrubber is capable of processing only the Fixed Width (EMIS) versions of these files. These files end with a .txt filename extension. They should not be opened and saved in any spreadsheet utility prior to use in the scrubber in order to preserve their original formatting.
How to Obtain Test Vendor Files
Currently, OAT and OGT test results files are available for download to authorized district personnel through the Success Website
. Depending upon the date of administration, files from earlier versions were made available either through the Success website or on CD-ROMs that were mailed directly to district test coordinators and Information Technology Centers (ITC). A complete listing of test vendor files that are compatible for use with the Scrubber can be viewed by downloading the Testing Vendor File Availability Matrix
.

Files which are not acceptable for use in the Scrubber include:
