Data Driven Decisions for Academic Achievement (D3A2)

D3A2 Tools

User manuals and other materials are available in Support Materials.

D3A2 Resource Exchange

The D3A2 Resource Exchange is a collection of free educational resources. You will find lesson plans, activities, assessment items and instructional resources in a variety of formats from some of Ohio’s most trusted content providers. These resources are aligned to Ohio state standards and searchable either by the standards or keywords.

Access the D3A2 Resource Exchange external link (Resource Exchange GAP Analysis - May 2008)

D3A2 Data Tool Application

The D3A2 Data Warehouse is a teacher-focused assessment analysis tool allowing participating districts to explore their performance on State of Ohio standardized test in granular detail. This analysis is tied to the Academic Content Standards, and allows teachers to link to resources that support the standards from the D3A2 Content Repository.

**The D3A2 data warehouse is currently limited to the pilot districts. We will be working over the next several months to get other interested districts set up.

Classroom Assessment Module

The D3A2 Collaborative is preparing to add a local Classroom Assessment Module (CAM) to its offering of teacher-friendly data-tools.  The CAM offers three areas of functionality:

Assessment Item Authoring and Hosting

The CAM supports the creation of three tiers of aligned assessment item banks:
  1. Teacher Level Item Bank: repository of items created by teachers for use with their own students
  2. District Level Item Bank: repository of items created locally and promoted by district administrators for use across the district
  3. State Level Item Bank: repository of items authorized for use across the state

Assessment Development

The CAM enables teachers to create classroom assessments using items drawn from any of the three aligned item banks.

Assessment Delivery

The CAM permits students to log in using the Ohio K-12 Single Sign-On Identity Management and Access System (IdM) and take assessments assigned to them by their teachers.  Assessments may also be administered as paper and pencil tests when technology resources are limited.

Pilot Study

Piloting of the CAM will begin on September 15, 2008.  Six districts have been selected to participate in the initial study group.
